the baby only had one wet diaper and one dirty diaper today (yesterday ) should be freaking out like i am?
I would call your nurse and let them know but just keep nursing. Your milk doesn't come in until 3-4 days after you have babe. Baby may seem like they're nursing constantly and that's okay--she's signaling your body to produce more. Drink insane amounts of water too and make sure you're eating healthy--it will help!
breastfeeding babies don't always constantly poop (their bodies absorb all ofit since it's naturally based, whereas formula isn't). The counting wets is the major thing. If you're producing just colostrum right now, it's not a hydrator. I'd call the OB and consult them about it. They may have you both come back in. I had to go back in after a couple days discharge because my son did the same thing. .. he ended up being jaundiced.
That's a tough thing to say. I want to say keep nursing, buuuut if you're having supply issues then she may burn more calories nursing than she's taking in..... Does she seen any more tired than she was while you were in the hospital?
her appointment is tomorrow morning what can i do right now to make sure shes okay? @kimberlyyyy
I would definitely call the pediatrician on the morning. Maybe they can check your baby's latch and make sure baby is getting enough to eat
