is the glucose blood test the last blood draw I'll have to get? and do they take your blood when you're in the hospital for giving birth?

When you give birth it is required to have your blood drawn as often as needed because the doctors want to keep an eye on your complete blood count. I only know because I'm a lab tech and sometimes I get the "heat" from mommies on the delivery floor. 😧 But you'd rather know your blood count is normal before leaving and have something happen to you after you've left the hospital. @blondiy

Oh and when you give birth you'll be hooked to an IV

after the initial blood work where they test you for everything, I had the glucose testing blood work and I think that's it, besides when I went to the ER because I wasn't feeling well..they did more testing

I can't stand getting blood taken, thankfully I haven't fainted but I have to be distracted. Hopefully all goes well for you :( sorry to hear that you have such a rough time with it, that really sucks.

@therockamom, it's good they're keeping an eye on things. you poor thing though! I hate needles and fainted during my initial blood work. I'm so worried it's going to happen again and this time I'll be alone :(

I've been getting blood work done pretty consistently during my pregnancy. I've done the glucose test twice. And I get blood drawn at least every other time I go in. Just keeping an eye on my levels.
