Anyone know how long you're supposed to fast before the glucose test? My lab form says nothing & the Internet says 8-14…

The day before don't eat to many sweets or carbs

Call your lab. They each have their own system.

They told me i couldn't have anything but water after midnight but i think every doctor is different.

I had my test at 1pm. I was just told not to eat any sweets or carbs before the test.

My lab is automated so there's no one to help. I'll go with midnight. Thank you!

I was allowed to eat my doctor just said to watch carb intake

My office told me not to fast at all but to try to avoid sugar. Good thing I asked because otherwise I would have fasted. Good luck.
