When's a good time to go back to college after you have your baby?

@rockysmommy, if you are taking a full course load, could you decrease the amount of classes you take per semester? idk if you've taken a semester off before, but it's hard to go back especially if you are not wanting to do online and have to leave baby with someone. good luck in whatever you choose tho :)

8 weeks is a good amount of "maternity leave"! That's more than a lot of women get to spend time with their little one.

I get pell grant money this semester and I know if I go back immediately I'll probably get more money because I have a child I also have to care for but I just don't think I'll be ready to take that time away from baby at 8 weeks.. @marie_xo @bottomsd520

and you'll finish faster if you do summer as well. make sure to update your fafsa after you get your tax return too because you might be able to get a Pell grant and may even be able to get money back for going to school

@amymabundio, @andiryan93 @marie_xo @alyen2 I feel like 8 weeks is too early :/ but I don't want to wait too long and get to the point where I just don't go.

have you thought about online? I've been doing it and it's a lot easier than going to school when you have a baby. I was pregnant with my first daughter and finished my AA a semester after she was born and now with my second, I will have my bachelors by next spring all done online

As a mama, I'd definitely wait until at least 6 weeks postpartum. I went back to work at 10 weeks. My husband went back to school right away which was fine.

Im finishing my second semester now, and when it ends i will continue in the fall! Start ASAP, the longer you put it off less chances of you going

the reason I said six months is for your baby to get on a good sleep schedule and also that way it was less stressful...

Ultimately it's up to you. When I have my baby he/she (don't know gender yet) will be in between a month and 2 months old. Because that's when school starts up
