I have mixed emotions about my dr appt today. They measured the baby at 9lbs and no progress with my body for labor. But my dr doesn't want to do a c section. She wants to induce tomorrow but said it may take a day or 2!

Had a Dr appt today and my baby's heartbeat was in the 140's 🙈 And also, my Dr wants me to go on a diet. 😕
okay I don't want to be that 'asshole' but umm ... my Dr hasn't seen me in 2weeks every time I have an app I see another Dr , they don't weigh my baby , no ultrasound I just get my blood pressure taken , give them a urine sample , they measure my tummy and listen to her heart beat ... I'm 32 weeks ... haven't seen my child since I was 25weeks ...
Trigger. Lost baby Went in for my 20 week check up and found out our son had passed away. Nothing was wrong, my pregnancy has been going great. I'm so numb right now. I'll he delivering him later this week. I don't want to do this. I don't want to do this. Not before Christmas. How am I'm going to tell my kids?? My dear sweet baby boy. Why did this happen?

its also a great time to do the silly little things in a baby book if you got one! it was honestly one of the most relaxing times i have had ever. haha dont gotta worry about cooking, cleaning, anything! lol good luck momma, i hope you have a good delivery and quick recovery!

take some coloring books with your or download a really addicting game on your phone. lol i seriously colored, did crossword puzzles and sudokus until my contractions were too much to handle then i just tried to sleep through it as much as possible. lol

i almost had to have a c-section. his heart rate kept dropping really low from the stress of the contractions on top of the pitocin. i honestly didnt even realize how long it was until the doctors told me after. i hadnt been keeping track. haha

@pixiestix, 60 hours? OMG that's a long time! I'm hoping she will just do a c section if there's no progress within the first day

i was induced with no progress at 39 weeks and it took almost 60 hours for my son to be born. i had 2-3 twelve hour rounds of cervidil (its like a string with meds on it to help soften your cervix), and two and 1/2 bags of pitocin. they broke my water shortly into the second bag and i went into a "natural labor" where they were able to kick down my pitocin. not all inductions are horrible. just depends on the staff and procedure they follow.

@domijac3 I hope you are right! It's discouraging when the dr says it may be 2 days! I'm thinking I will go crazy if it's that long

Nope. Not dilated at all. Once they start the medicine and break your water your body starts to move forward.

@jheyer1109, was you dilated at all when they induced you? I have done everything to try to help get things started and she said I'm not dilated at all and my cervix is high and thick 😫

My son was 9lb 7.8 oz. and I was induced. They broke my water at 9am and he came out at 6:15pm. The same day. Try to walk around as much as you can! Don't just lay in bed. I was so afraid of pooping on the table that I kept getting up to try and poop (tmi) but it helped push him down without actually doing labor pushes. Use the yoga ball. You can do it. When you are pushing try and not scream. Use your lung power to push down instead of using it on screaming. Easier said than done. Just focus on the prize!
