ugh having a hard day. i really want to breast feed my son when he is born. but my mom keeps saying crap about it like how hard it will be and how she couldn't do it nither could my aunt. and how much its going to hurt and how i should do formula so every one can feed him i mean i want to pump so my husband can also feed him and my husband is 100% behind me on it. its just really pissing me off about how everyone is downing me for it.

don't listen, I hear the same crap but my son my decision it's so much healthier for the baby than the formula. you might even be able to get a free pump through your insurance which is what I'm doing so my fiance can feed him. I'd just ignore everyone it's your baby not theirs.

You're the mom, you do what you feel is best for your baby. Even if it makes others mad!

I struggled bc my son wouldn't latch on and I had to use a nipple shield and pump to bottle feed him as well as I was in college and only took a week off of school. It's tough but that's what being a parent is about. The hurt goes away. (Until they get teeth 😁) do your best! I breastfeed for 7months. My son had a whole mouth of teeth by than. Quitting was the hardest thing ever, but there were times when he was hungry and it felt like more work than what it was worth. When formula is good as well. Just do your best but if it doesn't work out, don't beat yourself up. Feeding your baby should be enjoyable. It wasn't at the end for me and was better bonding time to switch over. I'm hoping this time works better but If it doesn't. All we can say is we tried

My mom said the same thing. She kept telling me don't get my hopes up on breastfeeding because she couldn't. My little one latched perfected from day one and my milk came in the second day after birth. Everyone is different. What matters most is that if you want to breastfeed and are having difficulties talk to the lactation consultant and keep at it.

You're the mom. You do what's best for you and your baby!! And even if you end up having to give your baby formula at least you tried!! Tell them in the most polite way ever if they have nothing positive to say about your decision to breastfeed please keep their comments to themselves! BREAST IS BEST ☺️. Best wishes with everything!!

your welcome, I actually went to one of those free baby basics class's from babies r us last night and boy is breastfeeding so much better and easier on the babies tummy, and they have less gas and easier digestion so they don't spit up as much, the lady talked about importance of getting your family on board and not giving up in the first 3 weeks because it gets easier.
