I have an alarm set for the mini pill and I never forget it. I bled for the first few weeks of taking it, but I mostly blame that on postpartum bleeding. Now my cycles are back to normal again on it. The only side effect I have is hair loss, and again I'm not sure if that's due to being postpartum. But overall it's the best form of bc I've ever been on. Good luck!

every form of contraception can make you gain weight, be moody, break out with acne, ect I didn't notice a difference in myself at all though. but I didn't when I was on the pill either.

does it make u gain weight?! I tried to get on depo when i was in the navy and my doc refused saying it will make me gain weight. that's why started taking the pill @stephnagy2

my bestfriend had the one in her arm too she got it taken out a few months ago to try and get pregnant. she said it made her cycle so irregular she would go months with no period and then when it did come on she would bleed for weeks 😫😫😫 I dont want anything thats gonna mess my cycle up @cassie.caleb

I personally like the depo. no periods. only gotta get the shot every 3 months.

@stephnagy2, yes thats what im afraid of especially with the ones that stay in for years. i just read a lady's got embedded outside her uterus and it was giving her a lot of problems. i got pregnant with my 2nd daughter on the pill for the same reasons lol thats y i was tryna get some feedback on other types of birth control @jessica0830

oh no 😥😥!! my cycles are never bad they usually last 5 days no cramping or anything. i would be worried some of this stuff may change my cycle. @kelseys

Yeah what @stephnagy2 said.The IUD has been trash lately. I was on the depo with no problem. I got pregnant on the pill (because I never remembered to take it!)

I haven't seen good things about iuds lately. Either women getting pregnant while they are in place or them moving and ending up somewhere in the body they aren't supposed to be.

my friend also has the one in her arm and she is getting it taken out now as she been bleeding for a month on it now.

Would NEVER recommend the depo to anybody.

I had the depo for couple years. never bleed. but when I got off it took years to get pregnant with my first kid I had her 2011 then I got on again after her for couple months then got off and took a while to get pregnant with my son which I had in 2013. never had period on it. but I didn't like it pill kept forgetting. and I also bleed for like 9 weeks+ on the pill.

I think the IUD is most effective, but it hurts a lot. I bled heavy, cramping was so bad, I felt in my legs. it kept making them numb till I got it out 6months later. that's just my experience, I'm sure its different for everyone.

IUDs. mirena lasts 5 years and paragard lasts 10

I hated the Depo since I constantly bled and actually got pregnant on it. I tried some regular pills and they gave me horrible side effects. Now I'm on the mini pill and I like it a lot. Very few side effects. But you HAVE to take it at the same time everyday.
