I am 1 month postpartum and I've been bleeding normally and it was dark, brown, and getting lighter everyday. Yesterday I started bleeding more and it was bright red and now it's getting heavier like a period and I've been cramping. Is it possible that I've already started my period? I am also breast feeding and I was told you don't really have periods if you do. Has anyone else experienced this or know what it might be?

yup, bf my son also and my period didnt skip a beat, started right on time 😭

I had the same thing happen but I bled for a month and a half straight with only a few days respite. Started out brown and slowly became red and then pink and slowed down in flow. I'm now 5 months PP and ebf and haven't bled again yet since then.

@maceysmommy, my nurses told me breastfeeding would make me cramp and bleed. Mine turned brown one day then the next I was breastfeeding and had a gush of bright red blood.

Yes that happen to me I bled form postpartum then like a day brake then my period
