Okay ladies.. Can I get EVERYONES opinion on this please! I was dilated at a 2 Friday morning, had contractions all day Friday and Saturday I lost my mucus plug this morning with small streaks of blood (barely noticeable) .. I have been very uncomfortable all day but no contractions. I did have a bm around 5ish but now I'm having really sharp pains in my left side. Should I go to L&D or wait it out until I have timeable contractions?

I'd wait till you can time them and they're consistent. Unless your water breaks, they're not going to be too concerned if you can't say how strong and often your contractions are. At least my hospital wasn't with my son.

at first I couldn't time mine they just felt like really constant painful cramps... but eventually they became farther apart and had a break in between them... that's when I was able to time them.. they were every 15 mins at first.. I went to the hospital and got sent back home.. until the next morning that they were 3 mins apart. Trust me you will know when the real ones start. Start writing down the time every time you feel one or download an app called "contractions " it helps you time them. You are so close! it will probably be in the next day or 2 :)

I would say wait, so they don't send you home them you go right back in 30 mins! smh

@kenialove30, idk if the sharp pains are contractions should I time them? Because if so they are pretty much nonstop.

I'd call L&D just to see what they say. They always say if you see blood to call even if it is just your mucus plug. They might tell you to go in they might tell you to wait.

If you're having sharp pains in your side I would get checked out to make sure everything is okay. It's better to be safe than sorry.@saramarie09,

I'd wait for consistent contractions or water to break. Otherwise you'll just get sent home.
