My SIL is very into social media and it's become a big source of tension for me. First my father's shared the news of our engagement on FB before we were able to our family and friends. Then my SIL shared my pregnancy and the gender on her FB page before we could finish telling people. I'm so frightened she will be the first to share my baby's picture before we can. I don't how many times and different ways to get the message across that we are private people. We don't have FB accounts and rarely share our own pictures on IG. I think it's really self centered of people to make our news their own.

Tell her to knock that shit off. id be upset too. its for attention and when people are talking marriage or babies people go goo goo over it ya know!! its not her life and she needs to quit living through you guys. #getalife

if you tell the doctors at the hospital that you don't want pictures being taken by anyone but you or your man or hospital staff (if they do photos) they are obligated to regulate that. as for being at home, you just have to put your foot down and set boundaries

I like the idea of not telling anyone @marybee ! Being a FTM, I don't want flood of phone calls or txt. Def will have a no photo rule @arijane316 I just hope ppl can respect it!

I've asked people not to post photos before the official announcement before. It's not a bad idea to make a no photo rule. We have a really cute Polaroid we will have at the hospital for people to snap pictures they can keep but no posting 😊😊

tell them they aren't allowed to take pictures. you're the parents, they need to respect your wishes. my mom was doing the same thing with my dad's health stuff and he got pissed and told her to knock it off, that his business was not to be put on social media for the world to see
