so tomorrow I will be induced. for mommy's that have been induced before how long did it take you to give birth from when they started the process? I have 2 children already and this will be the first time being induced. any tips?
I was 39 weeks barley but I came down with a liver problem so I had to be induced -_-
My recommendation for you if you are going to get an epidural. Don't wait once you start getting uncomfortable. Being hooked up to pitocin you're kinda forced to stay in bed. At least I was. So I couldn't walk through contractions or be comfortable at all so once the contractions started it was pretty unbearable being stuck in bed. Ask for soda if they will give it to you. The pitocin made me so sick and because I hadn't eaten in almost 10 hours I was getting dizzy. They brought juice and 7 up and it helped a lot
@alusardi, at my last appointment I was completely closed that was on tuesday. tomorrow I will be 40 weeks 3 days
I was 2 cm dilated when I went in for my induction they hooked me up to the pitocin at 11 am and when they checked my cervix at 6pm I was still only 2 cm. my dr came in and broke my water at 8 pm I had my daughter at 12:42 am lol. It all depends on how your body responds to the pitocin and how far along you are and what not. It took me s very long time. But I only pushed for 14 mins
