my step mom has a constant competition between my step sister and I.... anytime my aunt sends gifts to us or our kids for birthday or holidays she always asks what my aunt sent so she can compare to what my step sister and her kids got... she actually went as far as to ask to be present when I opened my wedding gifts so she could see what people got us (obviously to compare).... I say it's a family not a freaking competition.....some people just never grow up

it's horrible.... I've learned to be very vague when I tell her things... as far as a monetary amount, I never say it.... people will be appreciative of any gift I'm sure, at least they should be
