At what age did you put your baby in a front facing car seat ?

with my son they recommended waiting until 1 year to have him front facing, now they recommend waiting until 2 years of age

@sarahdrew, I heard its 2 years old now too! I heard its a lot safer

me too, had I known that when it was time for my son to be turned around I wouldn't have turned him, but at the time everyone was saying 12 months (even my wic nurse) so I was like well then I'll turn him around.... if it's safer to keep them rear facing then by God I'm gonna do it

In most states such as Washington the law is still they can be turned at 1 however in some states the law is now they have to rearface til 2:)

So many of us choosing to rearface til 2 since its safer 😊

@emmajeremy2627, yeah! Va law is until age 2 OR weighs 40lbs ... Which is basically by 2 lol they got us there! I don't know any one year old that 40lbs or even close to it lol

25 pounds my sons big brother dont even way 40 pounds and hes about to be 4 and thank you !!!:)

She was almost 2. Idr how much she weighed but her feet dangled over and she couldn't fit anymore so I had no choice.

I have a convertible car seat but Nol is still rear facing even though he can't be front facing, I don't think it's safe so I'll front face him when he's 40lbs

@allyandbaby, same! I just saw so many babies younger than adam front facing I got confused for a second! Like wait am I doing something wrong lol but im gna keep him rear facing as long as I can
