I'm feeling a bit like a hypocrite tonight mamas... I give so many mamas advice on here about different things, I have even told a few to go talk to someone or seek help for feeling like they have post partum depression.... however, I won't take my own advice; I feel I have post partum depression, in some form but I won't go talk to anyone or anything (I am afraid they will want me to be medicated and I don't want that)..... I have no ill feelings towards my children what so ever, or my husband (altho he can get on my nerves from time to time but what man doesn't lol) my I'll feelings are towards myself, I am in no way saying self harm or anything I just don't like myself sometimes (not sure how to explain it).... I was in the shower tonight and I realized all this, along with the fact that I hadn't showered since Tuesday (I know that's not good, but I feel the only people who see me are my kids and my dog so who really cares?) I can't shower every day due to my eczema so I'm not a daily shower person anyway.... sorry mamas for this depressing post, but I felt I needed to get this out.... thanks to you all for lending your "ears".... much love to you all ❤

Medication is temporary and most generally not just for your sanity but the safety of your little one. You've got to think of everyone around you. Also a well balanced diet, reaching out for support, and getting plenty of rest and exercise are important.

@ilyric, that could be part of it, I don't eat a balanced diet by any means (if I manage to one day I do feel pretty good)... I should talk to my husband but I'm afraid he may get sick of hearing it (that sounds ridiculous I know) I plan on going for walks with my kids once the weather here stays warm for longer than a day.... I'm getting to the point I'm getting more sleep at night due to baby sleeping longer strerches.... thank you so so much for your response ☺

Sometimes you can just see a therapist...try that. Eventually they may recommend something if talk doesn't help but maybe not at first.

@swtlilangl, I may look into going to just talk to someone just talking may help thanks mama ☺

Postpartum isn't something you should try to wait out either, hun. You should really talk to a doctor. If you don't want medication, specify that, come up with an action plan with your doctor. :) I know what untreated postpartum is like and it can ruin a family in the blink of an eye.

@ilyric, I will put in a call to my Dr Monday morning... I hate asking for help, but I honestly think I need it

All Momma's hate asking for help at times. I hate I'm on Bedrest with a 10 mth old son and house hold to take care of, but for the sherry of me and my unborn, I have to let others help.

I know how you feel. just put up a fight until you learn to accept yourself. I always ask myself what advice will I give someone else if they were in my shoes

@chocolatechild, I did that to myself tonight and it was like "I'm being a hypocrite, telling them to seek help and I won't do it' but I'm gonna seek help, it's not just me I have to think about anymore
Torkwase·
I understand. sometimes giving others advice helps you to self reflect. at least you admit to it. praying for u! @sarahdrew
