hubby and I got extremely frustrated. I'm discharged and baby girl who for the last few days been doing amazing for 35 weeks won't be discharged till tomorrow. all decided by a pediatrician who has not seen her at all since she was born until today. we talked to the cpt. who was with the pediatrician and he has been seeing baby girl since the day she was born and expressed our case that if we knew sending her to the NICU would result to be observed just to ease their minds would result in another day we wouldn't have done it. She passed every test and exam with flying colors. He is going to try and see if she will let us go tonight. I hate when one person who has never been involved in the child's care makes the choice. we hope for tonight. if not he said he put us at the very top of the list to be discharged tomorrow....stupid thing is no dr has come to see her since 12 if they we landed to "watch her" one more day.....sorry for the rant. I want my child's best interests of course but it's frustrating at a military hospital. just like my labor was four days long and they wouldn't progress it until I developed preclamscia on the 3rd day.....if they sped things up I wouldnt have had high blood pressure issues after birth
