For those of you that can leave your job when you want ( with two weeks notice) when did you end up…

I don't work but my husband is planning staying out atleast until we get out of the hospital

I haven't worked since in was 3 months due to being put on bed rest but I'm in school full time and have a week off after baby comes. When the baby gets here so has 2 weeks off.

I always work until I go into labor. I unfortunately work for a company that does not provide paid maternity leave so you use your sick pay or vacation pay accumulated to cover your own maternity leave or you have to like me save your money. I am 26 weeks pregnant and last year I also had a baby unexpectedly my water broke at 33 weeks and I ended up having an emergency c-section. My job allows 12 weeks for fmla but I only stayed off work for 8 weeks and it didn't seem long enough. This time I intend on working until my scheduled C-Section date or until I go into labor on my own which ever comes first and I am going to take advantage of all 12 weeks off to bond with my new baby and establish a good schedule with breastfeeding. My man was able to take 2 weeks off at his job and had to go back so luckily my 15 year old was out of school for the summer and was able to help me out being that after a C-Section you are not supposed to be doing anything besides caring for your baby for the next 6 weeks! Hope this helps. It's all in what u feel comfortable doing. With one of my children I took off of work 3 weeks before my due date but gave birth to her 2 days after her due date so you just never know what life will throw at you just like last year I didn't suspect I would be giving birth 6 weeks early!!! It all depends on you your financial situation and your husband or help you will have at home to determine when to leave work!!

I worked until labor with my first and I left work 9 days early with my 2nd bc I couldn't take the pain anymore. I still stayed out of work 6 weeks with both of them. Bc thats all your job will typically pay for. You do have the option of 13 weeks but they dont pay you for those 7 weeks. Its up to you and if you can afford to be off.

I have been out of work since Jan 28th due to how strenuous my job is with my pregnancy and I'm having my C-Section on April 19th. My husband will be out with me until probably when I get out the hospital and my mother will arrive that Saturday and stay a whole week! I will have a good support team because my 2 oldest will also be very helpful.
