My breast and nipple hurt so bad. It feels like the skin is about to rip between the ariola and the boob skin. I scratched so much in my sleep my whole tit is red. I've been using my home made cream (Shea butter, olive oil, coconut oil) to try and soothe it, but I'm getting no relief. Help me!! It hurts so bad

try an athletes itch cream! it's antifungal. you may have thrush

although it is definitely more common while breastfeeding, it is not limited to only nursing mothers. My son gets it quite frequently on his cheeks for example. It's odd but it's just an imbalance of yeast to healthy bacteria but it can be super uncomfortable on the nips if not treated.
