I feel so lonely, yea me an my SO have problems but what couple doesn't ? I feel like he brings up all my mistakes and start an argument just to get out of his responsibilities, he still hasn't bought my baby anything and he is due in 3 weeks but can buy some weed and beer every pay check. He blames all our problems on me, I'm the reason we don't work......he says he still wants to be with me and work things out but doesn't act like it. Is it out of character to leave him if he doesn't take care of us like he said once the time comes I am fully capable of taking care of me and my son but I don't need any emotional distress I understand he could be nervous we are both first time parents but I am the one carrying the baby I MUST be prepared if he isn't I have to figure out how I'm going to finish school and take care of my baby and all he has to do is work .......I don't get it

His attitude may change when the baby gets here. My boyfriend and I fought constantly during my pregnancy and I decided to stay until our babies got here to see if he would change or not. We hit a low point in our relationship at 7 weeks PP and did some free counseling to come to a better understanding about our problems. I can say that he has been an amazing father since day 1, always putting us first in a way he never did while I was pregnant. I know now that his behavior was completely due to stress, anxiety and being overwhelmed. It's not an excuse but it helps give me a better understanding. we've also learned so much about one another through counseling and the birth of our babies as well. Once your baby gets here it's all about mutual respect for one another and the roles each of you play in the family. If he's acting a certain way, try to figure out why instead of jumping to conclusions. Same for him, he needs to be more open to your feelings as well since they will be even more intense after your baby gets here
