Would I be a bad person if I let my mum watch my daughter for an hour or two and went out for a drink and some food with friends (only a pint)? I haven't left her side since she was born, not even for a nap during the day. Only to clean or quickly pat down wash myself and get dressed which takes 10 minutes. OH has been out 4 times for hours at a time and is now going out to a local city this afternoon and won't be back gone midnight. I don't think it's fair that he gets to do all this and I'm expected to stay at home. All the stress of what's been happening is getting on top of me and I feel like I just need a breather to get my head together whilst I know my daughter is safe and would probably be asleep the whole time anyway. I feel it would benefit her if I had a few hours away because I would come back in a better mind frame. When did everyone else first leave their babies (not overnight)?

@cmcdon203, haha same here dark fruit strongbow is my favourite it tastes so good! I think it'll do me some good to miss her as well because I do get stressed out and have to leave the room for a minute or two sometimes when she's being fussy especially when OH isn't helping out xx

I let my little one stay at my mums over night after 3 weeks and then again a week ago, if you don't do it now you'll not want to do it later on, xx

I've left Scarlett once for the evening, with my Nan, as I had a birthday party. She was 3 weeks. I left her with my mom for an afternoon coz I went to the cinema, she was 2 weeks. You need me time. You may be a mom now but that doesn't change the fact you are an individual. You'll go mad if you give yourself 5 minutes. I can't believe you've not even been leaving her to have a nap or a shower. You need to do these things, for your own sanity. I find I feel much more relaxed after a shower so whilst Scarlett sleeps I jumped in the shower, brush my teeth and just get myself all human again lol have fun you deserve it x
