let's talk vaccinations! anyone avoiding them?

I want to avoid them SO bad. I hate how crappy they make my son feel. :( like why do they need SO many so young. I'm ready to just tell them I don't want any of it. but I can already hear them bitching at me. 🙄

I sat in the Doctors office for a good half hour trying to convince them to allow me to change the vaccination schedule. All I wanted to do was postpone the shots till 3 months. They really put up a fight.

@analicia, @nikolaismommy just remember it's your parental choice. it's not a law yet and therefore you decide what's best for your child. :)

The only thing is that they're required for school :( @lilkountryma

@analicia, I know. my hubby and I have decided against public schooling for that very reason

@analicia, is definitely hard. one or two wouldn't be so bad but they give so many all at once it's terrible

They do give way to much :( like he's so tiny I understand maybe one shot but 3? 4? no..that's just insane.

And if you don't do them now and wait till they start school they do like 6 at once. they did it to both my nieces and they ended up getting fevers. poor babies

I did research on the vaccinations. Honestly it's a matter of opinion and science. Also I'm a spiritual person so my hubby and I prayed about what we thought was best. I myself have never been vaccinated and have never been sick other than a common cold.

I don't want to give my baby HEP B but my fiancé wants her to get it! Idk what to do!! I really don't feel like she needs it at all!

i skipped hep b. personally i think it's unnecessary seeing as you can only (mainly) contract the virus through sex. but i'll consider it when she is older. @jlowe000

I wanted to before i gave birth but i ended up saying yes :( my baby has only got the hep b shot... What shots can i change the schedule?@analicia

@analicia, there are ways around the "required for school" rule. me.and my SO don't want our Baby vaccinated at all and in our state we can get an exemption for school for either Medical or Religious Reasons, just have to get a form and fill it out. look up the exemptions In your state

we're not vaccinating, I personally feel I have not done enough research but my husband is strongly against it for good reason. His sister has itp which is a rare blood disorder basically her white blood cells attack her immune system it causes her to bleed and bruise easily. she had to go through chemo-like treatment for it which does not help and results in doctors wanting to take out your appendix and that fails 70-80% of the time then because you're appendix has been removed you have to be on medication for the rest of your life, she chose not to have her appendix removed and went a more natural route which is working for her but she has a friend who tried the appendix way of course it didn't work and he's on medication now. anyway it was because of a vaccine that she has it.

Hello:) No vaccinations for my 2 1/2 year old and not for the next. so far so good, maybe sick twice in his life, but we do take precautions when going out (wipe down grocery carts, tables @ restaurants....) it was just not for us, it was a researched descision.

I'm avoiding or delaying them
