hey ladies😊 can some lovely person tell me the ins and outs of combination feeding?
See I want to breastfeed if possible but I also want my baby to have formula too just in case of the off chance I'm not there for the day or he's out with his dad etc..
How do you do it? do you start both at the same time or one before the other? do you give more of one and less of the other? I'd there certain times to introduce either of the two? I don't understand the whole concept of it and I really want to get it right so any help would be massively massively appreciated!!! thank you!!! 💙💙💙
I expressed my breastmilk and have it to my baby in a bottle as well as using formula, I didn't start doing that straight away tho but he took to formula just fine and still drank breast milk, I used different amounts of each as breastmilk filled my boy up more then formula did so I didn't have to use as much xx
I've never had a baby so I won't preach, I want to breastfeed mine but also have the same issue as you... so I've bought bottles and a steriliser and I'm just going to express milk by hand or maybe buy a pump, you can keep it in the fridge for 5 days or freeze (not sure how long it lasts) then put into sterilised bottles when ready to use, and if I stock up that way, my partner can still do feeds :)
@winterbaby95, amazing thanks :D
