soo I was just told by the doctors office that when I go on March 14th for the second part of blood work for down syndrome and a belly check that I won't be getting an ultrasound, I'll be 16 weeks. which makes me very nervous, since an ultrasound is really the only thing to tell if the baby's doing okay. I won't have another ultrasound till 20 weeks. that will be 8-9 weeks after my last ultrasound. I'm Freaking Out... help.

I'm 30 weeks and haven't had one since 18. It's not normal to get constant ultrasounds. Only if something is wrong.

Some people only get 2-3 the whole pregnancy.

That just means baby is doing great. After you start feeling your baby your mind is at ease. But I understand you I was like that at the beginning & I begged my doctor for an ultrasound until I got one & everything was perfectly fine.

well I won't feel her/him for awhile yet lol. first pregnancy. hopefully soon or maybe she will let me get one so that I'm not stressed out.

The insurance won't pay unless something is wrong. So if you get more you have to pay out of pocket. And nothing, I worried a ton. But people have babies all the time and never even get one ultrasound. So I felt a little better knowing that lol

I got the downsyndrome which is the NT scan, two anatomy scans, and a growth scan but like @theemmariefactor said they weren't covered by insurance so it's around 250.00 each time.
