Okay mommies my toddler just went potty in her potty chair. How often do I ask her if she has to go and put her on the potty. She's in big girl undies or names roaming around the house. Any help is appreciated :)

My baby boy was showing interest in potty training, I decided to buy him a potty chair. Potty training tips 1.) Don't rush your child 2.)Don't yell at your child 3.) Don't punish your child for having accidents 4.) Don't give you child candy 5.) Don't compare other children to your child 6.) Do praise your child 7.) Clap your hands when your child goes to the potty. 8.)Take your child every 15-30 minutes to the potty 9.)Don't criticize your child 10.) I don't recommend pull ups but I don't bash mothers who decided to use them. 11.) Remember potty training is not taught in one day you have to be determined to potty train your child. Im a preschool teacher snd i work with 3 to 5. but I make my kids who are training to go every 15 minutes

Well with being pregnant I guess it's the best time to potty train because I go all the time lol

@babypeanuts, so even if she doesn't go just take her in there so she gets use to being on the potty every 15 minutes?

yes even if she doesn't go. just a feel on how she'll know a routine and she'll get used to it. it might be a little tinkle but she's still going. sticker charts are good. I trained 3 of my students. by this method. it might work but you never know. ^_^. good luck

Thank you so much. I said yay when she first went and she got so excited and clapped yay and I rewarded her with a cookie. I'm going to start the chart and get her little prizes.

at daycare I always take my potty trainers every hour and a half... but if they start grabbing at their self or just acting different I'll ask if they need to potty (: and we do sticker charts (:
