Random healthcare question here...we are currently on Medi-cal and are moving to Arizona on the 5th, and we want to apply for Access (forgot how it's really spelled lol), but I'm not sure how to go about it...I know I gotta wait for mail to come in for our new address, and of course gotta wait until we have proof of rent and utilities...so do I just not notify Medi-cal that we moved until we can get Access going? I don't wanna go without coverage if I can help it in case our daughter needs medical help....any suggestions?

Most states won't cover bills coming from another state like that. I had the same issue. I had to wait until I was able to prove me being a resident in the state I moved to in order to get insurance

I recently moved from Texas over to Nevada. once I was here I applied for SmartChoice. I got approved right away the afternoon I went in even if in Texas insurance was still active. I called to cancel Tx that same morning. I think especially cause I was pregnant they didn't deny me.
Just make sure you call your current insurer and make sure all your medical bills are already paid for before you leave your state!

I moved from Cali to az honestly I didn't call them at all, I just applied for accchhs and got approved

I still get letters saying I got medical but I mean I don't use it so there's no problem

When I moved and got Medicaid in Kansas I had to send proof that my Medicaid in Reno was ended
