My 6 day old baby girls BILIRUBIN levels are 15.7 today!! What can I do to get them down? It's been so cloudy all week…

I would take her in. We had to have our little guy on a bililight, his levels got to 12.4. hope she gets better! will keep you in my thoughts!

@mamamj, she had her first check up this morning. They want another check tomoro.

strip baby to diaper and put baby in a bassinet or lay baby some where were the sunlight from a open curtain can hit her let her lay the for 45mins-1hr every day will help them go down that's what my son's Dr told me to do

stop nursing!!!!! my daughter was born with ABO incompatibility...hospitalized for 6 days because her levels would just keep rising...i did my own research and one said breast feeding can often contribute to it i sropped the same day and the next day it went down

My daughter had a high count when she was born but we were able to leave but when we went back for an appointment two days later and we had to go right back to the hospital because her count was 17.8. I would do as @wyatts_mommy_0106 says if you don't want to go to the hospital right away but if your doctor tells you to go in then you go in. Having your baby on the lights is the fastest way to get her count down. Also keep breastfeeding. Yes there is some moms who got there baby's count to go down low by switching to formula for a week but then you have to try and get your baby to go back to breastfeeding and it can be hard. My daughter was in the hospital for three days and the only thing that I hated about was they had to check her blood a few times a time and I couldn't stand her crying. :(
