I work in daycare, and we have a bunch of one year olds that only drink almond milk... and they love it and actually drink more of their milk then the kids who drink regular 2% lol but I know most of the moms there are on wic and wic only covers 1% or sweet acidophilus milk and almond milk is expensive.

@littlemissrainesmommy, I think he would love the taste especially since it will probably remind him of the flavor of Breast milk. I want to know what mom's do to supplement for fat, and protein since the alternatives are normally low compared to cows milk. My baby already take a vitamin d supplement since he breastfeeds and probably will need to continue taking it if I don't use cow's milk.

I use soy milk and he drinks almond milk at his dad's. I try to make sure he has cheese and yogurt every day to get calcium and fat.
