Okay so I'm the only child I'm 22 years old and my baby and I are living with my parents. I left my bfs apartment because I was alone all day all he did when he got home from work was sleep and always wanted to go to his parents house. He tried pulling me away from my parents knowing I'm all they have! My parents support and help my baby me and the baby on the way. I don't ask the babies father for any help whatsoever. People tell me I should put him on child support but honestly I would feel bad if I ever did do that. I'm starting nursing school in the fall and my parents are helping me out in every way there is! I have a part time job which helps me buy my baby whatever I like at the store. I'm really just in my feelings right now 😞😞😞

if he doesnt care to be a father then you shouldn't have to make him. he needs to grow up and do it. you are doing great by what you are doing.

Everyone says I'm too nice because I let him see the baby once a week when he's not helping me at all with him. He's growing and needs more things but he doesn't seem to see it. I don't understand why some guys are like that knowing your the father at least help the mom out a little it's not like I'm going to go get my nails or some I'm going to buy him milk and clothes. It gets me mad when he says " it's my baby too " from where? You helped making the baby but sure as hell you ain't providing for him. Sorry ladies I have so much in that I feel like I need to take it out and have someone listen to me 🙈😞 @yahuahsdaughter @taiboos_mommy16

if he is seeing the baby he should be giving you cash period no exceptions. i would ask for it. you are being to nice and enabling him to continue living without responsibilities. you dont have to put child support but ask for a weekly cash allowance. i did that with my hubby before we got married. i didnt even ask him he knew what he had to do and even though he only had a little penny job he always gave me those $65 dollars every week for my baby girl.

@izamarpink, honestly I think you should just because it's his responsibility to be helping & giving you what you need for the babies & I understand that you have great parents who obviously love & care about you a lot but it's not their responsibility I also feel like maybe the baby's dad well mature once he has no choice but to man up and be a father 🙂 hang in there momma you gotta do what's right for you & your children ♥️

Do both of your children have the same father? From the way I look at it (and I don't mean for this to sound harsh) your parents are providing for this child and will be providing for the second one as well once you start school. He should definitely be paying child support and help take some of that financial burden off of your parents if he is choosing to establish paternity by seeing the child/ren every week. Its easier to give advice though, than it is to take, as I have a five year old whom I provide for solely. His father has him every weekend, but doesn't pay child support. On that same note, I was a stay at home mom for the first 2 and a half years before I left him and he footed all of our bills himself. He also saves me about $100 a week in childcare by having our son every weekend.

Legally, you can't withhold visitation for child support (not that you implied that is something youd consider or act on.) If I were you, and you're unsure about asking or pursuing for child support, I would start off small by asking him a few times a month if he can help with formula, diapers, or wipes. If he can commit to that without making excuses or backing out of the responsibility, then I would just continue on seeking help when needed. If he makes a big deal about it and refuses, I would then take him to court and require him to uphold his responsibility.

Well your baby is yours and his responsibility, not your parents. It's great they are helping out but he has to help financially as well. Child support is the correct route. You provide for your baby and so should he. He shouldn't get to enjoy yours and his baby and not have to deal with any of the responsibilities, he helped make the baby. I think it's only fair.

When my husband and I were divorced for 3 1/2 years (yes we got remarried a year ago) I didn't ask for any child support. I said I wanted to prove to him that I could do it on my own but then I realized I did that for myself. He wasn't in my daughters life for 18 months but when he "woke up" now shes all he ever thinks about. they are seriously the best of friends. his little princess. With what you're going through though. Dont ever feel bad for putting you and your children first. Schooling is very important cause that will be what supports them in the future. I just think you are so lucky to have parents so willing to take you all in and be happy to help.

Once the baby is here he's gonna want be so involve like if he was there all 9 months with you 😞 @taiboos_mommy16 , ask him for money is like asking him for a million dollars. I will try again next week and if he doesn't start giving me something I'm gonna hit him with the you'll be receiving a letter! So maybe he can do it on his own. See I wish he was like your husband even though he didn't have much he always had for the baby , even though he has a good job pays bills and rent he still has a lot left over that idk wth he does with the money. It's seriously stressing me out 😖 @yahuahsdaughter , @mommyslove thank you so much for the support ! I tell myself and my parents the same thing , that they have a father that should be helping me out not leaving everything to them. He thinks my parents are rich when there not they have a little more income coming in because both work and that doesn't make someone rich. Maybe when he decides to mature it's gonna be too late 😧, @babyreeves I agree with you! Yes both babies have the same father. But now that I see it if he can't provide for one what makes me think he's going to provide for 2! And j hate the fact that every Monday he comes he is wearing some new 😒😒 but can't give me 30 dollars for clothes ! It's just pathetic ! 😭😭

Yeah girl, if he is making excuses or fighting helping with any support, your best option is to get a child support ordinance. I've refrained from doing it to my ex husband because I don't want to fight with him, but I also work full time and only wish I had the kind of support you do to return to school and pursue a career. look out for you and the little ones before looking out for him! best of luck sweetie :) @izamarpink
