dad's name on the birth certificate or not? he's super inconsistent. He will want to be in the baby's life for a couple days then not talk for me for a month. he's made it loud and clear he hates me and wants nothing to do with me. but I don't think he realizes I am having his baby and either way it's having something to do with me. so emotionally drained and stressed over him.

same here they have to be here to sign an acknowledgement of paternity basically saying the are signing away any right for a DNA test & acknowledging that, that is their child. if he doesn't show that is his lose! & I dont he deserves it either! the baby definitely doesn't need that in its life.
Won't be able to get child support with out it, other wise it'll be a whole court thing and paternity tests and all that annoying stuff but if your ok with not getting anything then don't do it but if you want him to at least pay a little something to help out whether he likes it or not and you want him to be responsible then yes put his name on there.
I need to call and make sure but I'm thinking where I live he needs to be there and sign it anyways which I doubt he will show up. @aek91 but I don't think he deserves it with the way he's been lately.
its really all up to you but in my opinion I wouldn't let him have that luxury he needs to make up his mind & SHOW you he can be there for baby
