I make way more than my husband because he made major sacrifices for our daughter (took a demotion and works graveyards) to avoid daycare so our baby isn't raised by a stranger. this being said I pay most of the bills/rent myself and he buys extras!

My husband and I have a joint account. We both pay the bills. Once your Marie's there is no his and hers. You become one when you get married. I never have to worry about who has to pay what because we do it together through our one account.

My husband and I don't have gender based bills. We're married so everything is equal. We have 3 accounts. One for me, one for him, and one for us. The two separate accounts is our fun money for when I want to get my nails done or when he wants a haircut etc. The joint is for our bills. We both use power, both drive, both use water...that kind of thing. So it's a team effort to pay bills. Limiting each other on who pays what can only set us up for failure, especially if work is slow and you're "responsible" for one whole bill on your own.

if you guys are getting married you should get a joint account that all the bills come out of uou each get a weekly budget and the rest goes into savings for emergencies. that's what my husband and I have done. we have saved so much.

I don't think any bill should be limited by gender. I'd split it evenly.

if you're getting married why not get a joint account? me and my husband got married last April n moved in together we split everything in half but then I realized we aren't roommate's we're husband and wife. so our checks would come into our one account and we would just pay the bills from there. it was OUR money now

I think it depends on the couple how the Bill's are split and the income of both, also depends on the man does he feel he should be the main provider therfore he would pay all or most of the rent. Can he handle paying the largest Bill which is rent and you be responsible for lesser Bill's like cable, phone, utilities. Me I'm ok with splitting things i would love to not split but the reality is in this day and age with the younger generation it's very few cohples that can actually go about things as their parents or grandparents did with the man paying the major Bill's and woman paying little to nothing at all. Just talk it over with your spouse and figure out what you both can afford and what and how much you expect each other to contribute. nothing worse than assuming because there is no man Bill's or woman Bill's we all equal lol

i would always split them evenly or sometimes pay an entire bill like the cable or light i guess depends on the moment

I live with my fiance and I think it depends on both of your income. I don't make as much as my fiancé so I pay for gorgcery and stuff we need around the house.

How/why do you buy a car EVERY year with your tax refund?? I know people can spend their money how they want...no judgement, u can buy 1,000 packs of skittles...but I know 2 ppl who has bought a car EVERY tax season for the last 3 years!! Like stop buying buckets and spend a little more for a better car or put a down payment on one. I just think that's a waste of money. What's one big thing you're buying/doing if you get a refund 🤔 #PayingOffMyCC #DressersForTheKids
