so my son is 3 months old and I wanted to start him on oatmeal cereal to see how he does. but his dr said not until 5 or 6 months. how many of you started your kids early? and what did your drs think?
you are so right. I want to start but kinda feel like I'd get in "trouble". if that makes sense lol. I think my son would do well too. He's a hungry boy but has started not drinking all his bottles. I think he gets bored and would enjoy the food. but my problem is he is on soy formula and it constipates him. im already giving him prune juice to regulate him and am afraid cereal and food would make it even worse.
It's tough because everyone has their own opinion but you know your baby best! How do pediatricians even know?? It's not like they randomly test babies to find these things out. They do a lot of studies of course but every baby is different! They never had as many "rules" before as they do now and many many babies were just fine.A lot of people would judge me for it but my son started teething about 2 weeks ago and I would let him suck on my pinky, well a couple days ago I thought I would just put a little but of baby food on there and let him try it. He absolutely loved! I have only even given him sweet potatoes but he has just a tiny bit everyday and honestly he is much happier! He has a very fast metabolism and the poor kid isn't filled up by breast milk or formula! So I had to do what works best for us and he hasn't had any tummy problems what so ever! I want the best for my son just like every other mother wants for their child but everyone is so different how can we even compare??
@mommy_faith, That's part of the reason I wanted to start to help with his spit up. especially before 6 months. I wanted to try baby food at 4-5 months but she doesn't want me to.
My son is 3 months and I put oatmeal in his bottle for acid reflux based on my doctors recommendations. But he is such a hungry boy so It helps him a lot! He's not nearly as fussy as he was.
Short Luteal Phase?
I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.

Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
Starting TWW. Anyone else?
I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.
It does make sense lol! Well the oatmeal started to constipate my son and ever since I gave him baby food he poops every single day! It's worth a try! It might be a coincidence but I think not lol😊 I let him try peaches today a little bit ago and of course he loved it and seriously pooped 15 minutes later.... Lol
