my son is almost 2 weeks old just wondering at wat age can they start drinking water??

yeah that how everyone is on both side of the family telling either way think is rong with my son like wen he crys or trys to tell me how i should do things i guess they think i need much help than wat it seem since am a ftm... but i breastfeed n do fórmula as well @steph11

totally understand I waited until 6 months to start any solids and my family didn't want to wait even though it's the new recommendation, then I didn't traditionally wean we did baby led weaning so no one has ever gotten to fed her and that makes my mil mad plus I breastfed

same here am a ftm and familt keeps telling me that i should start giving my son water or eles he wont take it later on but am also breast feeding n doing some formula. but thanks for the information had to double check @babybermea

at 6 months babies can have 2 to 4 ozs of liquid a day. and at 1 year they can have any liquids as you'd like to do them

I asked my doctor this question bc im a ftm and she said that there breast milk and formula have enough water for there little tummies and body's :) (I kept having older family members insist on so I even double checked with my lactation specialist and she said when I'm breast feeding the first milk that comes out as he's nursing has more water fluids in it then the milk gets thicker through the feeding that has a lot more nutrients)

not till after 1 or even 2 years old. their tummies are small and they need as much nutrients as their stomachs can handle
