Has anyone taken castor oil and it worked? I'm 38+ weeks and I'm 2 cm dilated! Just trying to speed up the process! Thank you ladies!
I've heard there's some sort of raspberry leaf tea that's supposed to help. You might look into it.
don't do castor oil. my ex best friend lost her son 3 days prior to her induction date because she couldn't wait. an emergency c section was done her, and when they got him out he wasn't breathing and he was not able to be revived. castor oil can cause baby to swallow their poop. and that's very dangerous leading to death or making baby sick as well as you. it's not worth the time you've bonded with this baby and growing it, for it all to be gone in a matter of seconds. Just bounce on your bed, walk, have sex/masturebate, look up some safe inducing cupcake recepies, or anything naturally SAFE to eat like dates or pineapples and a lot of spicy food. but castor oil is not worth it..
I did at 38 w 5 days and it sent me into labor after HOURS of HORRIBLE diarrhea, it made the baby have a bowel movement in the womb and he injested it which made him really sick he was rushed to the nicu IT'S NOT WORTH THE RISK
Castor Oil can cause your baby to injest meconium and cause illness or death. Don't do it. Just walk, have sex, or do nipple stimulation if you are feeling impatient.
Midwives use it to get labor going for woman. I've looked up it and as long as I'm not preterm it's okay.
I've heard it helps with labor as well, but I haven't looked into it too much yet. @losmommy
