Worried that I won't be able to get my baby boy to latch properly. He has been drinking breastmilk exclusively, but I have been pumping for the time he has spent in the NICU. Hoping I can try to latch him on again today, even if its non-nutritive, just so he might accept and take the breast rather than a bottle. But, if he chooses to be more comfortable with the bottle, I will just continue to pump for as long as he needs. I feel blessed to be able to feed my son from my own body. How amazing is that?!

No worries, I breastfed exclusively and had to give a paci in between feedings which is now😖killed us for the last 5 nights because we took it, my bestie exclusively pumped and gave breastmilk in a bottle and no paci , both worked out fine, whatever you can do is wonderful 🤗, especially for a nicu baby my first was a preemie and I pumped the first 3 mths but my milk dried so I'm rooting for ya, also think about trying a nipple shield, beautiful family❣

it takes time and work, but he can absolutely learn how to breastfeed. just keep offering keep pumping and keep your patience. You can do it mommy!
