this is your baby hunny just express that to mom in law in the nicest way and maybe she may volunteer to help or just say pk well we can have two I wouldn't try and please anyone but you remember your mommy to be its your baby and what momma wants momma gets good luck

Tell her your mom wants to throw a baby shower too. That's what we're doing. I'm having 2 showers. My mom is throwing one with my family & my mil is throwing one with my bf's fam.

my mil use say stuff or mention a baby shower for my husband. but I would keep telling my husband cuz she doesn't speak English either. We're having a baby shower it's for me and you. Co ed. but also nothings is wrong with having 2

Have two ? My brothers mom threw one for my sister in law with his family and her mom threw her one with their family. I'm throwing one and inviting my boyfriends family because his invite list isn't that big.

My mother in law is throwing me a baby shower with all her spanish speaking friends. She's done it twice, and I'll be honest. Even though I don't speak Spanish, her baby showers were more fun than the other showers from my friends and family. And you get a TON of stuff lol I've made some friends too because of the showers :)

My cousins wife will be having 2 baby showers because our fam speaks spanish and Her fam english. I don't understand why Your MIL would get mad if You want to plan one with Your family and friends that's the most reasonable thing to do. Plus 2 babyshowers equals more help for the stuff Your Baby will need😊

Same. I wanted to be part of the planning so I had one that I was included in, and my stepmom is throwing me another with the other side of my family that I have no idea what's going on. And then I'll be having another that the baby's dads mom is throwing, no idea what's happening there either. But nothing wrong with having more than one. I think it's a good idea to separate who you'll invite to each, like one more for friends you know and the other for family. Or mix them just depending on the people

My mother in law, my mom, my sister in law, and my best friend planned my shower together! We just had one big one! And they all got to be a part of it

@missalexisnicole, lol. I'm sure it would be the same if we had one big one. But it's just my mil wants to plan the shower all on her own. My mom planned and paid for our entire wedding that was last weekend. It was small in my parents back yard but I think my mil was upset she didn't get to invite all her friends and all their family. We had to keep the guest list at 50 people but it got to 80! My mil wants to do it her way. I just want to be apart of the planning and picking themes and picking invitations and all that. My mom does too. They are my first babies and my parents first GRANDbabies so we want to be apart of the process. We were looking at cakes already. My mil wants to a jello mold thing that's kinda scary looking lol. But I'm not against her doing a shower my mom and I just want to do one as well so we can plan it and enjoy the experience too.

That'll be good though because you can tell people what you already got at one shower and they can actually get you whatever else you need at the next! I got a lot of duplicates and had to return some stuff to get what we actually needed.
