Please keep my 3 year old daughter in your prayers. We are at a children's hospital three hours away from home being monitored due to nephrodic syndrome (the cause is unknown still) but she has gained 6lbs due to fluid retention and swelling so far. Praying she gets better asap and praying that I don't go into labor anytime soon.
She doesn't have any infections as of right now that they can find so they did albumin today over 6 hours because her albumin level was 0.8 and her protein in her urine was a 4+.. Halfway through the albumin they pushed Lasix and then finished the rest of the albumin and did anither Lasix push. She has only urinated when given the Lasix a total of 4 times.. So her urine output is still far to low. @levleah
@saramarie09, I was going to ask if she was on furosemide (lasix). Do they have her on IV antibiotics and/or albumin injections?
They are saying right now primary or minimal change nephrodic syndrome caused by a past infection but they also think she could have a kidney disease called apol1 but the genetic testing takes a bit of time to get back... She's not urinating much except for when she is given Lasix so we're not sure what's next @levleah
so sorry you're both going through this! Do they know if it's primary or secondary? Is she diabetic? Have they mentioned lupus? Those are common primary causes of secondary nephrotic syndrome in children.
continue to pray... we all will power in prayer. God plz bless this family and babygirl.. give her strength and heal her.

THANK YOU ALL! For the prayers!! She is being treated and depending on her response to the treatment the doctor will decide what happens next. She is very swollen and has gained a ton of weight in fluid retention and still has not been potty since 6pm yesterday
In my prayers tonight, hang in there momma and strength to your little girl.
@saramarie09, ugh, I hate this for your family. And you're so pregnant! You are really strong. I'm somewhat familiar with the condition due to my work, and it sounds like her drs are taking great care of her. Sending prayers for both of you.
