i had mine done at 35 weeks, i thought that was when it was normally done but maybe they're waiting a week so they can check for dilation also?

I think they usually do it at 36 or 37 weeks. mine was done at 36

I just had mine done yesterday and I'm 34 weeks. But I think it can be done anytime between 34-36 weeks.

I'm not sure. I know I start the dilation checks this Friday. but he never told me about that testing. so I'm wondering if he just forgot. because he told me he'd be checking my cervix every week and that we'll be going over my birth plan every week. I'm gonna be a little upset If he just Springs it in me. I kinda need to mentally prepare myself for it. got no issue for the vaginal swab part. Just the part where he swabs my butt.. is what I gotta prepare for. lol @tiffanigypsy8

i didn't get my butt swabbed! i was afraid of that, but my doctor says they don't do it at my hospital. and if they do swab yours, it's not the inside, they just get the outside of it.

@tiffanigypsy8, I sure hope my butt doesn't get swabbed. I freaking out if anything even remotely goes close to my ass. even if its a slap on the butt I freak out a little. lol Im so weird.

with my first I didn't get it until around 37 weeks this time I got it at 35 weeks so it depends, he may have just forgot to mention it. They literally take a q-tip and run it from vagina to anus, not too bad. and he'll more than likely do it before you get checked, since your pants will be already off. that's what mine did.

@their.bomb.ass.mom, I guess I'll just have to mentally prepare myself in advance every week til he does it then. lol I just get weirded out with anything being near my butt as a whole. IDK what's up with me and it. it's always been that way. my own boyfriend doesnt even get to smack my ass in a playful way without me freaking out on him about it. 😂😂

Lol, just prepare yourself and ask next appointment if he doesn't do it then that way you have an idea at least. I don't have a problem with stuff like that anymore all my body fears pretty much flew out of the window with/after my first baby, but I still don't like surprise things like that either, like if I have to take my pants off next appointment, let me know ahead of time! lol.

I'm getting mine next appointment lol its so weird feeling hahaha. but definitely ask just in case he tries pulling a fast one on your and just puts the IV in you that combats it from baby getting it. @xbbycolletto
