i had my shower yesterday and it was hard for me to come to terms being the center of attention in the first place, opening the gifts was like torturing me :/ i asked if my mom would ask everyone to bring unwrapped presents, and she did make the point that people like seeing your reaction to the gifts which i understand completely but it was stressing me out so bad. i was already super hot and sweaty and swollen and everyone was taking pictures the whole time making me more uncomfortable

I'm very shy!! I don't want to open them in front of everyone either but my mother insists on me opening them and if I don't I'll come off as "rude" -.-

I don't want to either, but when I told my parents about it my dad was like I think that's rude. I just think it'll take up alot of time and we have a time limit..

I don't think so. It's all up to you. It's your day. I waited til all my guests left and it was only family. But I only really opened them so I wouldn't have so I could throw all the wrappers away at the hall instead of at home haha
