In my opinion, if they're old enough to ask questions they're old enough for (age appropriate) answers. My son is four and has asked a few small questions here and there and I answer them very simply. I feel like when kids are younger, talks like this one aren't so embarrassing so it's easier for them to really hear what you're saying. Plus, if they're a little younger, they likely haven't heard a lot of wrong info from their friends.
@mrsdelg, that's my worry he is getting dumb ass info from his little friends n I think its time I give him the little talk he is 10 so I don't want to go into any deep detail just enough to make sure he isn't misinformed
I think that's a super smart idea. I know by the time I was ten, boys were saying things that I didn't understand. It's pretty likely they didn't understand either and we're just talking because boys are gross lol. Yeah, I don't think you have to give him a play by play but what sex is, whatever morals you believe in (waiting for marriage, waiting until a certain age or a relationship being a certain length.. Whatever), peer pressure, the choice to say no, respecting the other persons choice to say no and consequences of sex like pregnancy, STDs, hurt feelings, etc.
sad thing is it seems to be the little girls in my neighborhood that are a little more pushy on it lol makes me worried when my daughter gets a little older she is 6 ughh but yeah its crazy cuz I still look at him as my baby boy so to think I need to have this convo with him is mind blowing
Haha I can't even imagine! As soon as we found out we were having a boy, I told my husband when it comes to specifics, he gets to have that chat lol. Now that he's here, I'm the one that gets to answer why his penis is bigger in the morning, why I have boobs and he doesn't.. The joys are raising a boy! Lol
right because my hubby says dumb shit like that's my boy cuz these girls are fighting over him they are 10 but me n my son are extremely close and we talk about everything so I'm happy that I think he will be comfortable with me @mrsdelg
