I've had a midwife for all three previous pregnancies & now this one

Midwives help a lot I hear, I'm actually going to school to become one. It's a person decision though so totally up to you, find one that works with your plan!

I am extremely scared of going through with a fully natural birth it looks frightening. I am also high risk so I feel like I could get a midwife but I'll end up probably delivering in a free standing hospital. I'm not sure. I don't know what to do. My husband thinks going with the traditional hospital ways will be dangerous.

@allisonlmilpalm, I was thinking the same thing. I doubt my insurance would cover one if I did decide to have one.

well just because you have a midwife doesn't mean you have to have a natural birth I had an epidural with my second baby & went natural with my first & third my midwife wouldn't make me do anything I'm not comfortable with

That's good to know @aek91 I wanna look into it, I just don't know if I'd be able to afford one or that my insurance would cover one. I do like the thought of the personal experience.

@allisonlmilpalm, yeah I know midwives are so much cheaper. I wonder if they take payment plans haha

you should I hear midwife's a more understanding I'm not sure though I don't have anything to compare to but yea shes amazing & she's very caring & listens to all my concerns never rushes me. but my insurance covers, I would just call your insurance provider & see what they say

I have went to a midwife for both my girls and now this one too! I love them!! :)

I'll call my insurance tomorrow and see what they say. I'm gonna try to look into a midwife and see what all info I can get. I'm just so interested in this option and if I can still get an epidural then I'm in!

@aminaisazasmami, I bet they don't have one like that here in Oklahoma
