for all the new moms on here.. how hard was it for you guys to have your first poop after giving birth??

it's not as bad as what it's made out to be, I didn't poop til a week and half after I had my LO. it didn't bother or hurt for me at all. I know this sounds weird but, don't push it out! just let it come out on it's own, if you push there is a possibility you push too hard and can tear you right back open (if you had vaginal birth or even tore at all). I didn't even take any stool softeners or anything. but if it hurts, try to take some deep breaths and relax your body.
it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, even with me having stitches, but I was terrified of it and it took me about a week and a half before I finally did. it was a lengthy process though.
don't force it mama, I just felt the urge and just sat there and let my body do its thing.... stool softeners will be your best friend trust me

it was about 3-4 days after birth, then I threw a party for myself lol
@jasalynnsmommy, yeaa same here.. but it's been 4 days since I had my son.. I figured I needed to do it soon.. because I've never gone this long without pooping.
I was vaginal and about 4 days after I gave birth a passed a bowel movement and used warm baby wipes.
@sarahdrew, I tried.. but couldn't. I haven't pooped since before I went to the hospital.. I gave birth 4 days ago.
I got lucky I had mine while still in the hospital this last time.... the first time it wasn't too bad but I was taking stool softeners regularly to help with it (I had a c-section tho so idk what mamas who had vaginal went thru
yes, it hurt SO BAD!! i never took stool softeners so mightve helped me a lot but im just finally started to go normally
