When breastfeeding, is it normal to have an irregular period?? Like have it one month then not have…

I haven't had mine since I had my daughter 6 months ago. & I'm breastfeeding her 24/7

after your baby is 6 months when she/he starts eating solids it will take time for your body to start working the way it used to. the same thing happens with formula, if your not exclusively breastfeeding and using both, one month you'll probably get your period, another you may not get it.

@its_yazz I got my period last month but haven't had it this month. I know breastfeeding delays ovulation and your period. just trying to see if it makes it irregular.

@elismommy428 yea I'm EBF but my daughter started solids at 4 months. I got my period last month so I was kind expecting it this month. but it hasn't come yet.. so I'm just double checking that bf can make it irregular. I am on birth control and not trying to have another baby right now lol

@its_yazz hmmm well it's not back to being regular yet. lol I'm thinking it has something to so with breastfeeding. I'm fine with not having a period! so long as I'm not pregnant right now!😂😂

@rosalinasmami, its because of the hormones going back to normal after being pregnant lol and besides it take up to a year if your breastfeeding
