How many ladies here tested your babies for down syndrome? what were your results? How old were you or are you?
They'll test for Trisomy 13, 18, 21 and Downs Syndrome-all chromosome disorders. It doesn't always mean your baby will have it, but it can tell you if further testing is recommended and you can get the right kind of care if necessary. @coey247
It's Edwards syndrome. There's an extra chromosome just like downs. They usually test for it at the same time they test for downs. It causes abnormalities and developmental issues. They do a blood screening. Mine came back high risk so I had to get all these other tests done. My baby is okay but it was still scary. I'm only 23 and its uncommon for anyone pregnant under 35. They just have to give me an ultrasound every other week now to monitor everything is going smoothly.
@hapmama523, I heard of false positives. Glad he doesn't ☺
I recommend doing all of the testing personally, because if there is something than you know and you can prepare.
I had a friend do the testing with her first and they gave her a 99% chance he'd have downs. Born perfectly fine...
I'm 23, tested it at 18 weeks and it came back low percentile for actual downs but high risk for trisomy 18
Ok I'm 32 yrs old too. I'm at 10 weeks 1 day. They wanna test me at 12 weeks. Hopefully I get the same odds.
I did it. I'm 32, did a blood work and ultrasound test at 13 weeks. Results were 1 in 18,000.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
Thank you ladies I appreciate all the input. ☺😊😁
