I need color ideas for a girl BESIDES pink and purple. My SO has a 3 yr old girl, I'm already swarmed with pink. I know one is going to be green, a lighter green. My family is trying to push for pink anyways and want me to name my daughter after my adoptive mom... not happening. at all.

What ever color you want. shoot, do black if you want. just because you use a color that has been "assigned" to one gender doesn't mean that baby will change genders. **sorry if that sounds rude. I just had this fight with my inlaws**

@lilmommy93, I wish my parents would listen to me when I said no pink. Now they're demanding to know what other colors I'm going with and argue if they don't sound girly enough. Its annoying that they can't let go of stereotypes on something as silly as colors

@zensnow, my mom was acting the same way and I told her that if she can't support my decisions on something as small as colors, then I don't think I want her negativity around the baby.
*I had a blanket with little pinkish-orange triangles on it and she took it home with her because it was too girly*
