Personally I plain on packing the stuff the hospital has because they do actually charge for things you wouldnt think they would. Always bring your own over the counter meds. They charge $25 for Motrin at most hospitals.
you can ask your insurance and/or hospital and they can tell you what your insurance will cover. mine covered the cost of everything, but yes they do charge for things you wouldn't expect. my boyfriend got charged around 300 just for sleeping in the hospital room with me.
Hair brush, chapstick (my lips were dry and my hair was tangled) and dont forget baby book for the foot prints... I did... Underwear that is a size bigger for comfort.

i would take a robe or 2. and i brought my own non slip socks because theirs were ugly and uncomfortable.
