Had anatomy scan yesterday everything looked great but doctor said baby had 1 white spot on heart and it's a marker for DS my results from other testing earlier in pregnancy was 1:10000 so he said he is not worried because it's common but offered for me to get further blood work where they will look at babies DNA to truly determine if DS is a factor. I'm SOOO nervous

I'm not gonna lie it was the longest 7 days of my life. Being you had a 1:10000 chance your first test and a normal neck scan and they couldn't see the spot at the second ultrasound everything sounds good! I had a 1:233 chance and baby's fine 😄 but I totally understand everyone said don't worry.. You can't not worry when they find something wrong!! I said I'm allowed to feel and need to process this new information.. Cried a lot then felt better.
@rmuscolino11, I just seen your last comment thank you I'm a worry wort in general as well so it's even harder to not think about it. I appreciate your comments so much you've made me feel not alone because my hubby thinks the best in everything which is great but he ignores my fears because he knows that I always over stress things.

I had a similar thing happen to me! At baby's 12 week scan baby's neck size was abnormal indicating she may have DS.. I was a nervous wreck! I did the DNA blood test and results took 7 days exactly to come back. Baby is totally healthy with no sign of DS. I swear they put you through hell for no reason!! Try not to worry mama 😊
No problem. And trust me I kno someone telling u try not to stress about something like this is super hard, but just try ur best. Bc ppl told me the same thing but I still couldn't help but stress (plus I'm a worry wart anyways lol). Just try ur best to stay stress free and keep ur self occupied. @mommyto3boys, I had the exact same thing happen to me around 18-20 weeks. My doctor said the same thing. But with this being my first I was super nervous and stressed about it so she sent me to a specialist. I went to my appt and they did a more in depth sonogram and they couldn't even find the spot on his heart. They said sonograms r hard to tell stuff like that. I asked the dr well then y did my dr see something on his heart and they told me that it could have very easily just have been a shadow and nothing to worry about. They did do a special blood test just to put my mind at ease and it took like 3-4 weeks for the results to come back but when they did they were perfectly fine. My baby had the same chance of having Down syndrome as every other baby out there. It was definitely a very scary thing to happen. But don't stress too much cause it most likely will turn out to b nothing. And u don't wanna end up stressing too much and hurting ur little one.
@mommyto3boys, yeah my Fiancé is the same way. I men's he was worried but he knows I over worry so he always tries to talk down my fears(in a good way) and tries to make me feel better but he just doesn't understand bc I stress out so easily and so much bc of my anxiety. And I'm glad I could at least make u feel a little better.
