update: my friend is in labor and delivering her baby boy at 23 weeks. .please pray for her and the baby

=\ I'm really wishing her all the best. I hope the doctors help the baby, because that's at a sensitive time where some doctors won't do much. Hopefully she can get the shots that can slow down labor and keep her pregnant a little longer because I know some 24 weekers have been able to beat the odds, but I'm not sure about earlier than that. Tell your friend she has people thinking about her and the baby that are sending positive vibes her way. 💜✌🏼️

Well. I hope she made it in early enough that they could try slowing down her labor. I'm not sure how that works because I've never been in labor naturally, but if she can get that shot and can get the steroid shots to quicken the lung development that would give the baby a better chance.

she's still in labor her water broke around 230am. still saying the baby will only live a few hours but they will try everything they can to help him. he's only one pound. @mrscruz0530 @kimberlyyyy

They thought my son was only 1 pound in ultrasounds but he came out 2lbs. That's so scary though. I really hope the doctors decide on helping the baby. I'm amazed they would let her stay in labor rather than give her an emergency section.

the baby is fine and isnt struggling or anything so she doesn't want a c-section. how far along were you when you delivered? @kimberlyyyy

were they able to give her any shots to help his lungs develop? I hope he beats the odds and can make it I feel so bad for her :/

I'm not sure...and I do too..he's still active and moving in her tummy and his heart rate is strong and good so hopefully that's a good sign @mrscruz0530

yes that's a good sign keep me updated hopefully she can keep him in there as long as possible

I delivered at 29 weeks but they had him labeled as iugr which means he wasn't growing well enough. They considered him the size of a 26 weeker. I had 2 doses of the steroid shot to help speed up lung development.

she has gotten steroid shots and they took her off her epidural and are trying to stop labor because her contractions started getting irregular! but baby is still in and good. @mrscruz0530 @kimberlyyyy

Aww good to hear, her baby is a fighter ! hopefully they can stop them and can have her on bedrest or something and she can make it further along I can't imagine the stress she's under !
