Just curious, has anyone on here attempted a VBAC after two cesareans? I started this pregnancy determined to try for a VBAC despite having had two csections. Then I came across an article about a woman who died during a VBAC, so I changed my mind back to an elective. But, after looking more into statistics I'm really leaning towards a VBAC again. I'm so torn. Would love to hear personal stories from other moms who have attempted it!
@debrabeck, it went well. labor for 5 pushed for 1. no the pushing didnt affect my scar at all. the only complication was tearing but that was doctors fault. baby and I were fine
@dnhmommy3, how was your first VBAC? I've really that with each VBAC your risk is less and less. Could you feel any strain on your scar as you pushed? I'm really worried about that and it causing me to have anxiety attacks (thinking that it's rupturing or something).
the if can be scary, but you can do it! :) as long as you know you are healthy, just feel empowered and take control!
@mrsgeorge, that's encouraging to hear!! I've read lots of success stories online, but in the back of my mind I'm still just like "what if.."
@levleah, she says it's totally up to me as long as I continue with a normal, healthy pregnancy. Statistically speaking there's more risk having a third cesarean than there is a vba2c. (1% risk with VBAC and 3% with csection). But I guess what can happen IF those risks occur that make it so risky. 😞😞 the thought of having to go through another csection just makes me want to cry. Lol
I have a few friends who has successful vbacs! they loved it. if you're healthy and your doctor agrees, go for it!
@debrabeck, I'd say trust your dr! Sounds like you've done your research and it's worth trying for since your dr also agrees.
