Feb 1st I took my daughter to the dr she was all stuffed & couldn't breathe & nasty cough, they said she had bronchitis & gave a steroid. We went back that Thursday, and they said she sounded clear..the following Tuesday I took her back because to me she sounded worse. They said she has either allergies or viral infection, they gave Claritin. She started the Claritin on the 12th it says for 10 days. She still has a horrible cough! She's no longer stuffed up but she gets coughing and can't stop then ends up puking everywhere. Her cheeks are also super red/rosey. Tonight she didn't want to take a bottle or anything just cried..dr doesn't seem to care from what she said last visit as long as she has no fever, wet diapers & is eating shes not concerned. Idk if I should take her back or wait until the Claritin is gone and if she's not better then take her back??

sounds like what i had .. does she have allergies ? they gave me prednisone ( a steroid that opens the lungs and calms the inflammation in the bronchal tubes) have they tested her for Asthma?

@hushappymommy, no allergies so far just all this sickness crap! They gave her prednisone at the very first appointment when they said she had bronchitis. She was on it for like 4 or 5 days. And no haven't tested for anything. Well did a strep test. Her dr doesn't seem concerned.

wish i was a doctor to help you out. every time i go to the ER for them symptoms they find ways to get me out of there quick too . i hope she feels better soon . its miserable @ciaramarie

@hishappymommy, our doctors around here don't really care lol. Our emergency room will send you home when something is wrong. I took my son in sept he was having abdominal pain and they wanted to send me home & I refused to go home lol. He ended up having appendicitis and needing surgery!!

@atlmommy, I can't really just find a different dr within a few days. Since she has Medicaid they have to approve for me to switch and all that :( and our er it's not even worth it. I could tell you right now it will be me sitting there all day for them to tell me nothing. 😣 I'll prob take her back once the Claritin is gone if it's not better

@ivansmommy15, I know! I want to take her back but the day they told me she has either allergies or viral infection I sat there for 2 & 1/2 hours for pretty much nothing😣
