Are 3D/4D ultrasounds worth it ? I don't want to drive 40 min away and pay the money if I don't get…

I saw one my cousin had and it was pretty amazing.

@snicole12, they are but you just can't ever predict how the baby will be the day of the ultra sound. .I've gone 2xs already for mine because my daughter is so stubborn lol and I'm going in again next week and finally just get the pictures if she doesn't cooperate owell we'll just wait till she's born

Definitely wait until they are older....my son looks like an alien in the 20 week one lol he looks cute in the 37 week one though (: depending on how far along you are it's DEFINITELY worth it ♡

There has also been evidence that shows elective ultrasounds can be harmful. Even if its just minimally. They usually aren't done buy trained techs and the prolonged exposure to the radiation from that ultrasound is usually longer than recommended.

I had a lot of ultrasounds with my first because of complications and he was fine but in that case they were ordered by my doctor and the benefits outweighed the risks. I just think it's always good to be well informed.

I did mine at 30 weeks and she was stubborn but then at 32 weeks and got amazing pictures. I think it's so worth it!

I also have a lot of ultrasounds because I'm high risk but my doctor didn't say it was a bad thing and I get mine done every 3 weeks.

I had to go twice because she was being stubborn. And I made sure to drink something cold and sweet before hand so she would cooperate. The first time the baby's father wasn't able to go but he was the there the second time. She was still covering her face at first but then once he started talking to her she started cooperating. And it helped that the tech was a lot better than the first one I had. I had mine done at 27weeks.
