As I was lying in bed last night, I noticed a strange feeling in the right corner of my c-section incision and I went to pat it with my hand and noticed I have a nice size knot in the right corner. It is painful and red around the knot. Any idea what that could be. I have a check-up with my OBGYN on Tuesday but I was wondering if this is something that can wait till then or should I call my doctor today????
@sarahdrew, I have heard of other women keeping theirs that long as well. I also learned that a lot of doctors don't even use staples after a c-section anymore. My nurse told me that my doctor is one of 3 that still use them where I live. it's been 7 years since my last baby so A LOT has changed lol
good luck mama.... I had actually opened part of my incision and I didn't even know it until I went to get my staples out
@sarahdrew, I just called and my doctor told me to come in so I'm getting ready to head up there now.
my Dr told me he usually doesn't use them, he was in a bit of a hurry ( my surgery started almost half an hour late because he forgot about it as I scheduled it on an off day lol) my first I had the liquid stitches and steri-strips @darnellsmommy2016
